There are many two word phrases in the Bible that expresses the power of God such as Healed all; gathered in; cast out; raised up; pulled down. There is however a two word phrase that is mentioned 43 times and speaks to how powerful God truely is. "But God!" This small two word phrase communicates a tremendous message to all who will hear. It is God’s response to Satan’s challenge. It is the bottom line. It is the last word. “But God”, when viewed in relation to the challenges of life, is what up is to down; life is to death; in is to out. “But God” stands diametrically opposed to the negative roar of the world.
The world says no – “But God” says yes.
The world says can’t – “But God” says can.
The world says won’t – "But God” says will.
The world says stop – “But God” says go.
The world says don’t – “But God” says do.
The world says defeat – “But God” says victory!
Ephesians 2:1,4 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked... But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ... Romans 5:7-8 “Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
